Skipper Graham Hughes, Skipper’s wife Joy Hughes (The real Boss) , David Warburton and Peter O’Sullivan (pseudo Navigator)
Day Two
We have now sailed 260 miles. Sailing 237 degrees south south west. Peter has stated this will keep us in good steady winds. Average 20knots.
However there is not a ARC boat in sight. Though we have VHF contact and can listen in to all the chit chat.
Peter used the Sextant yesterday for one sighting and is in the process of getting another this morning at 12 OÂ’clock UTC. Hope his maths is correct. Christmas in Cape Town?
Was on the morning watch 5am-8am to day and watched a huge orange ball rise out of the sea, another clear and sunny day plenty of sun cream.
We had our first Happy Hour yesterday and Graham managed to spill 3 large Gin and Tonics over the galley. I took over for 3 small G/ts we need to ration the Gin.
David is on cook duty today and we have had Creamed Mushrooms and Bacon for breakfast - Warburton sailing special.
Thanks for the SMS messages keep them coming.
